Uhrzeit Synchronisation in Debian

Um die Uhrzeit auf einem Server/Client immer aktuell zu halten, kann man diese Synchronisieren mit demntp(Network Time Protocol). Das gibt die Abweichungen aus.
Was gibt es noch zu erklären? Ich weis es nicht.
Leider komme ich auch nicht ganz klar damit.
